Hi my name is Caitlan. I work at Little Poppets as part of the Little Room team. I joined Little Poppets in February 2025 and have loved being part of the team ever since.
I enjoy supporting the children as they grow, learn and develop during their time at Poppets. Every day is different, bringing new opportunities for fun, creativity and laughter. I will always join in with singing, dancing, crafts and imaginative play as I am a big kid at heart. Seeing the children smile, build confidence and enjoy their journey at Little Poppets is the most rewarding part of my role.
I am originally from Lancashire, but I moved to Ellesmere when I was 10 years old. I have two younger brothers who both attended Little Poppets, and I come from a large family with lots of younger children. Growing up surrounded by children, I naturally took on a caring role often babysitting and help looking after my younger relatives. These experiences helped me realise from a young age that working with children is something I am really passionate about.
Before joining Little Poppets, I worked as a Teaching assistant and 1 to 1 in a primary school, where I gained valuable experience supporting children with SEND needs and working with a range of age groups from 4 to 11 years old.
Alongside my role at Little Poppets, I am currently going into my third and final year at university studying for a BA Honours in Primary Education. I thoroughly enjoy my studies as it has given me a deeper understanding of child development, psychology, philosophies and effective teaching practices. My studies have provided me with valuable knowledge of children’s learning and development from birth through to adolescence, which I enjoy applying in my work every day.
